ASSAF said it received several calls from families living in Yavne who were inquiring about the issue, while the organization's volunteers reported that a number of such residents left the city and moved to Tel Aviv due to the difficulties they encountered in their attempts to register their children.

Youth Club

The ASSAF Youth Club is an extra-curriculum program, which operates twice a week and provides a supportive and safe environment to kids and teenagers from within the refugee communities in Israel.

Welfare and Health

ASSAF regularly encounters the ramifications of the government’s policy toward asylum seekers in Israel. The first to be harmed by lack of welfare and health services are the populations with the greatest needs: survivors of torture, children, women, the disabled, and the sick.
