12/5/13: Session on "Bureaucracy and human rights - the case of the Ministry of the Interior and Israel's immigration policy"

Session on "Bureaucracy and human rights - the case of the Ministry of the Interior and Israel's immigration policy" where we discussed the way in which bureaucracy serves as a means of oppressing the refugee population in Israel.

The lecturer was Adv. Oded Feller, Head of Migration and Civil Status at the Israel Civil Rights Association, which engages in legal defense of the human rights of non-Israelis in Israel.

 

15/2/13: Sudanese Culture Day

The event, produced by the coalition of Sudanese organizations in Israel, was aimed at the Sudanese community as well as Israelis. Seven dance and music ensembles from various Sudanese ethnic groups took part. These are professional ensembles of music, song and dance, in national costume, which have been performing in Israel for several years.
